The unit: tracked accountsCopy Anchor Link

Atune bills on tracked accounts — the distinct customer accounts it is actively building understanding for. Not seats, not events, not dashboards.

• An account becomes tracked when it has 3 or more events in the rolling 30 days, from any of its users. One stray event, or a customer you imported that has not started using your product, does not count.
• Your bill grows as your book of business grows, and only then.
• Events and signals within a tracked account are not metered — capturing more behavior per account makes understanding better, so it's never penalized.
• People without an account are not tracked accounts. When you send a user without an accountId (or companyId/groupId via Segment), Atune keeps them as an account of one so they still get understood, but they count as users, not toward your account limit. An account of one becomes a real account once a second user joins it.

Atune also shows tracked users: the distinct people with activity in the rolling 30 days, across all accounts and accounts of one. Users are shown for context and are not limited on any plan today.

• Up to 25 active customer accounts — accounts with 3 or more events in the rolling 30 days. Exactly 25 is still within the plan.
• 20 new understand() answers per UTC day. Repeating a question answered in the last hour is served from cache and does not count.
• No history limit for now.

When a free workspace passes 25 active customer accounts, insight locks immediately: understand() (and the MCP tool) returns 402 Insight locked with an upgradeUrl, and insight pages in the app show an upgrade prompt. Atune keeps receiving every event while locked, so nothing is lost — upgrading, or dropping back to 25 or fewer active accounts, unlocks insight again.

Billing lives in Settings → Billing in the app. There you can see your current tracked-account count, your plan, and manage payment through the billing portal. No annual contracts, no implementation fees, no consulting.
