Connect PostHog
Already on PostHog? Connect it in one click. Atune imports your last 90 days of usage and keeps it current. No SDK, keys or mapping.
If your product already sends events to PostHog, you don't need to install anything else. Connect PostHog and Atune reads the usage you already have.
Connect
- In Atune, open Install and choose Already using PostHog.
- Click Connect PostHog and approve in PostHog. Grant access to the project with your product's events.
That's all. There's no API key to copy, no project ID, no region and no mapping.
What happens next
- History first. Atune imports the last 90 days, newest first, so customer health is ready the same day. A large project imports the newest 200,000 events.
- Then it stays current. New PostHog events sync every 15 minutes.
- Quiet while history imports. Inbox actions reflect where customers are now, and Atune sends no Slack alerts about last month's history.
What Atune infers
| From | |
|---|---|
| Region (US or EU) | Your PostHog sign-in |
| Project | The project you granted. With several, the one with the most events. |
| Accounts | Your PostHog groups of type company, organization, account, team or workspace. The group's name, plan and seats properties fill the account. |
| Users | Identified people, keyed on the ID your app passed to identify(). Names and emails are stored only after you accept the Data Processing Agreement. |
A project without company groups is treated as a B2C product: each person is their own account.
What Atune reads and skips
Atune asks PostHog for read access to events, people, groups and projects.
It keeps $pageview and your own events. It skips PostHog's automatic noise: $autocapture, $pageleave, $feature_flag_called, $web_vitals, $rageclick, identity and exception plumbing, and similar. It also skips anonymous visitors outside a company, such as marketing-site traffic.
Imports never count an event twice: running one again, or reconnecting, adds nothing that is already in.
Billing
Imported events count like any other. An account counts toward your plan when it has 3 or more events in the rolling 30 days. See Billing.
Disconnect
On Install → Already using PostHog, click Disconnect. Atune stops syncing and revokes its access at PostHog. Events already imported stay.
